INTRODUCTION - HISTORY

In April, 1974, in the midst of a major economic slowdown, Walker & Company won its first general contracting job: a $9,800 picnic pavilion construction contract for the City of Winter Park.

President Lance Walker, Sr. and Vice President, Joe Fisher, with a start -up staff of eight people, finished 1974 with a contract volume of $173,000. Since that time we have constructed over $1 billion of construction projects throughout Florida with a belief in maintaining a balance of healthcare, commercial, institutional, multifamily, educational and religious construction projects. With an average annual volume between $60 and $90 million, Walker & Company is a recognized leader in Construction Management, General Contracting and Design Build services in Central Florida.
